Your Burning Questions, Answered:

  • Is there a dress code for the weekend?

Semi-formal/cocktail attire for the wedding, please! No denim.

If you plan to join us Friday evening, you can wear whatever you like!

  • How can I get to my Airbnb or Hotel? Will there be shuttles?

We will not be providing shuttle services for our wedding. There are also no Lyfts or Ubers in the area.

Please plan to drink responsibly and coordinate designated drivers amongst yourselves.

  • Can I bring my kids?

While we love your children, the weekend will be for adults only. We appreciate you making childcare plans in order to celebrate with us.

  • Can I park my car at Camp Colton?

Yes! There is plenty of parking onsite for campers and those entering the venue on the day of the wedding. Prior to the ceremony, there will be staffers available to help everyone settle in. Golf carts will also be available for those who require mobility assistance.

  • What facilities are available to those pitching tents?

The camp sites are nearby to a few port-o-potties. Those staying in cabins will be asked to make their toilettes and showers available to campers. Anyone is welcome to access the bathroom in our personal suite. The main gathering space, River Falls Lodge, also has a restroom. For our less hygienic friends, there is a swimming hole. And finally, there is a bathhouse with four toilets and two showers. Visit campcolton.com to get a sense of the place.

  • Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Camp Colton. However, the venue has made an exception for the bride and groom. So, Bernadette will be around to help soothe you while you endure separation from your beloved dogs.

  • What meals will be provided outside of the wedding reception?

On Friday evening, we’ll grill up some goods for anyone who chooses to join us. On Saturday morning, we will have brunch available at River Falls Lodge, but strictly for campers and anyone else staying onsite. We highly recommend that anyone camping onsite bring some meals for themselves as well, especially if they have dietary restrictions.

  • What's there to do around Colton?

Not much! Colton is a tiny town, and Camp Colton is the town’s largest employer. Portland, however, is less than an hour away. We recommend that out-of-towners bake in some time to explore Portland (fun fact: Taara was born in Portland!) Otherwise, entertainment at the venue will be abundant in the form of camaraderie, short hikes, lawn games, and kayaks/swimming.
